Clayton Mclain Memorial Museum

We are found in Cut Knife on Highway 40 in west central Saskatchewan, Canada, 40 miles west of North Battleford.

2011 Grade One/Kindergarten Visit


The museum is situated on the western edge of the town of Cut Knife in Tomahawk Park.
          Operating Hours:
  • During the summer our hours are Wednesday through Sunday 9 am to 5 pm. Note: Contact us if you would like a tour on a Monday or Tuesday.
  • We offer tours by appointment in June and September and other times that are weather compliant. A week's notice is required to arrange for tour guides.
  • Reservations for tours: Groups wanting tours larger than 10, please make an appointment. 
School Tours: We offer individualized tours which match class curriculum. Please give us two weeks notice so we can prepare for your visit.
We have Discovery Boxes that can be borrowed for use in your classroom. Contact us for details.

  • Parking: There is ample parking available.
  • Campground: 8 electrified spots; area for tenting; modern washrooms and showers. No reservations unless booking the entire campground for events. First come first choice. Payment is due before occupancy. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
  • Trout Pond:  is stocked with fish by the local Wildlife Federation. Try your luck at catching a fish. Saskatchewan Game and Wildlife rules apply when fishing.
